Description: CR Background – JSAPCR-3113: API Enhancement to Retrieve OBD Number This Change Request (CR) is a continuation of CR JSAPCR-3113, which introduced an API to retrieve the Outbound Delivery (OBD) Number from the SAP backend. Current Process • The SAP backend API returns the OBD number, if available, for the order cancellation process. • The cancellation request is then sent to EWM. • Upon successful execution of the cancellation in EWM: • The corresponding sales order line item is automatically rejected. • However, the Net Value of the Sales Order is not recalculated or updated accordingly. Issue Identified • As a result of the automatic item rejection, the Sales Order continues to display an incorrect Net Value, leading to inconsistencies in order reporting and financial figures. SAP Investigation • An SAP incident was raised under Ticket No. 642698/2026 to investigate the issue. • SAP reviewed the scenario and recommended evaluating SAP Note 2090508. • After analysis and testing, it was determined that SAP Note 2090508 does not address our specific business scenario and therefore does not provide a suitable solution. Proposed Solution Due to the limitations of the standard SAP correction and to avoid impacting the Sales Order processing logic, the decision has been made to implement a report enhancement rather than pursuing a Sales Order bug fix.
